The Consequences Of Betrayal

We were great friends,
I guess that’s what I thought.
We loved each other,
but I guess he did not.
We always had fun,
we would run around and play.
But everything changed,
After that one painful day.
Since then he’s been different,
always seeming mad.
But I knew something was coming,
When my dad told his dad:
“I’m very sorry old friend,
It shouldn’t end this way.
But my only option now is,
To just move away.”
I had to leave behind,
My one and only friend.
Its funny how betrayal,
Can make a friendship end.
