Broken Hearted

My momshoved a nail through my heart of glass,
cracking iti and making a fragile mess.
My dad gently nudged the nail,
Bringing my world crashing, broken forever.
Now I am not trying to be clever,
But the ties between us have been severed.
No boy could break my heart worse, ever.
The damage is done,
Like a long lost loved one,
The moment is gone.
No one to lean on.
Distant from all my family,
There is no one to trust in today's society.
