Waters whisk me away

The dreaded depths conceal wondrous treasures

Solitude

Departing the sanctuary of home

Without a second glance

My trickling resolve tried

By the fading sun in the golden horizon

Fear

Hurtling through the daunting river canyon

Of skyscrapers looming above me

Navigating the perplexing labyrinth

Of ceaseless streets

Determination

Pervades the brackish air

To conclude the perilous Odyssey

Hope

Within the swelling tide of companions

Crashing and spraying on the pristine shore

The tempest subsides

I have arrived
