Simple Things.
Take a simple thing.
Like a pencil in your hand.
Think a little deeper.
Think how does it make you feel.
For me it feels good.
That's what your hand is supposed to do.
It's made to hold and write.
The best things are the simple things.
Take a simple thing like rain.
Think of rain outside your window,
When waking up from a good night sleep.
My mind is cleared of my worries.
I feel ready to start the day.
Perfect pitter-patters on the window.
No rhythms, no pattern.
Just there for you.
The best things are the simple things.
A towel is a simple thing.
A towel just out of the dryer.
Wrapping the warmth around you,
Like a mother’s hug for a fragile baby.
Relaxes your muscles.
Soft and warm like a puppy maybe.
Most dread getting out of the hot shower,
But I'd get out to a warm towel.
The best things are the simple things.
Here's another simple thing.
Take sunglasses for example.
Cool and snazzy on your face,
They'll also block the sun.
A two in one product.
Style and protection.
What could be better than that?
Not a lot, I'm sure.
The best things are the simple things.
So now you see that simple things,
Like pencils and rain,
And towels and glasses.
Are what really matter in life.
They can make you a whole lot happier,
Than phones and money could ever.
It may be hard to believe at first,
But trust me,
The best things are the simple things.
