Rights
They fight for the rights you abuse
Fight for the home of brave and the land of the free
Are the people worth fighting for?
People stomp on the flag
Or burn it to the ground
Two-thirds of people don’t even vote
A right fought for women and blacks
Some even taking whips to their backs
Now saying what’s right is wrong
And what’s wrong is right
They are our soldiers
They fight for the rights you abuse
Fighting day and night
The red the white and the blue
Symbolizes the rights of me and you
People, are we worth it?
Should they fight and die for you
There are people in faraway places
Killed in the street
Living in constant fear of being discovery
People who must worship God in hiding
Killed just because of what they believe
For the rights we have and abuse
America is on a downhill slope
But there’s still hope
Change America
Be worthy of the men dying every day for you
For the rights you abuse
Or all too soon they will be taken from you
