You are the universe with
Nebulae in your eyes
Thoughts made of clouds floating in
A never-ending galaxy
Tears great as the ocean washing over the
soil of this life
Your touch is filled with light and your heart
flooded with darting rain
The stars in your step connect the everlasting
mysteries of this earth
And you gaze upon me as a new discovery
an unknown territory
my heart swells as a black hole diminishing
everything in its sight
and although you are light-years away from me
I have never felt closer to this whirling spinning
maddening
World
In any moment other than
This

Wow, I love this poem - and I keep wondering if the "you" is actually the universe or a person. I particularly like the ending - "I have never felt closer..."

I love how creative this poem is. I've never read a poem that connects a person to the universe. My favorite part in the poem was, "Tears great as the ocean washing over the soil of this life." I like this part the best because I just can really feel the strength pulled out of these words. Over all great work! :)
