12 months,

365 days,

8,760 hours,

525,600 minutes;

Although all this time has passed,

it took me all of

a millisecond to fall for you.

We moved fast like a ticking time bomb;

Tick tock,

Here's a kiss there's a kiss.

Tick tock,

Falling harder and harder.

The clock strikes one and two

then three and four;

Counting upward toward our future.

The minutes get shorter but the days get longer,

while you're by my side.

The time we spend together cannot be replaced;

But the time we do not spend together cannot be brought back.

Every second and moment cherished too much.

Time is fleeting while our love is growing.

The clock strikes five and six,

then seven and eight.

Hours pass and pass,

as the fights grow and grow.

The exhaustion drains us;

but then there we are;

Vulnerable and all we have is each other.

The clock strikes nine and ten,

then eleven and twelve.

Though time has been lost;

Only love has grown.

The love two people share can waver unlike time; ours surely has.

12 months,
365 days,
8,760 hours,
525,600 minutes

of true and pure love has grown.

Not a second wasted.

The author's comments:

Dedicated to my boyfriend of one year as of tomorrow - 5/7/16

Also I hope this inspires people to write from deep in their hearts.
