I Remember
The day my heart began beating without purpose
was the one we had bid our final goodbyes
Time did it's job, but not even Amnesia herself could make me forget our love; it was different
It wasn't the type gushed over on the big screen or the type adored in the books
It was a love of it's own
dysfunctional, but absolutely worth every second
I remember the nights we spent bickering over the phone
We poisoned each other with the venom we spat
How foolish we were
I remember the golden times we spent together
We'd laugh until there were tears steaming down our cheeks
How happy we were
The feeling I had knowing you were mine was joy
you were my joy
How foolishly, happily in love we were, my joy
If I remember correctly
