Rainy Day
The clouds drifted over the lush green mountains.
The sidewalks were wet from all the rain.
The sky was white and gray and small raindrops fell.
I truly thought it was beautiful.
But the window was limiting, I yearned to run, leap, and shout at the top of my lungs and dance in that rain.
Then I heard a scream from the other room, than a vicious yell.
My parents were fighting.
They had fought the whole night like wolves, ruthless, ferocious, inhuman and merciless.
I couldn’t take it anymore.
It was torture to hear that, especially from your own parents.
At that moment I knew I had to somehow get on a bus.
So I slipped on a bright colored dress, converse, jacket, threw my hair up and dashed out the door.
