Flawed Heroes
What ever happened to my heroes?
When they could do no wrong?
When they muscled out bombs?
Why did the media play along?
Many doubled in size
Did everyone know?
‘Cause I could not recognize
Why their stat sheets began to grow
But then I ask was it all worth it?
A home run race for the ages?
73 to 70
And I still don’t know what all the craze is
For now with heroes you can never know
If they rely on the needle
And just an average Joe
