fear in us

Fear is our lives everyday
Entering our souls as they start to decay
All around us it is here to stay
Rapidly engulfing us, for we are its prey\
It is a stairway
Near us, in us it will not stray
Ugly, it turns us into what we would not want to portray
Soon we can come out of its ways
