Life's Incessant Battle

How far will one march,
To reach the barricade,
Of a faulty door,
And to knock on the splintered wood,
Only to be turned away,
And when questioning why,
To be met with silent responses,
Only to be pushed aside,
As one who matters naught,
To the matters of the world,
Pray tell me, child,
Because that scenario,
Is the pages of my life,
Splayed out for you to see.
