The Clown
I ate the candy
from the room
of the child.
Like a lion
stalking its prey
In the night.
When I did
I was not caught,
take and run,
take and run.
Quick as a rabbit,
running away
from the fox.
When I’m done
I hoard it all,
so it is always there.
All of the candy
is gone,
and when she asks.
It was taken by the clown.
