Windows
People say the eyes are the Windows to the soul and that they show who you really are. Most appear to be happy and positive but really, if you look at them, if you truly look into some people's eyes you can see their story and most of the time it is not happy. You see bad memories and you see misery. Some people can not hold their emotions in , they can not fake a smile. Some people break down and it begins to show on their face. You begin to see the years of heartbreak and pain and it slowly just begins to erode the natural glow they have to their skin, the normal seemingly happy appearance , they look destroyed.
This woman that we see is a psychiatrist and has been exposed to years and years of sadness, and she can no longer contain it. It has begun to erode her skin and now to her there is no clear definition of what happiness is yet she tries and tries to fake it with her friends and family but it has become nearly impossible. She has spent her whole life trying to help others achieve what she no longer believes is true, genuine happiness. In a way people are like buildings, with enough weathering and damage, they eventually just crumble.

I wanted to show how emotions can affect people and how their mental state can be harmed.
