Life, Love, Loss
Life, Love, Loss.
Through all of the sickness,
Through all of the distress,
Always finding ways to make someone their best.
After starting over,
You have come so far, then all of the sudden,
Immunity to you no longer existed.
I sat down there next to the side of your bed,
Even though you weren't awake,
I knew you could feel me when I kissed your head.
From the e-mail to come,
It would change my life forever,
And I knew then and there you would never get better.
A tsunami of sorrow,
hit me like boulders,
A great weight came upon my shoulders.
Air in the room filled with helplessness,
Only sound in existence are quiet sobs,
And the thoughts of her victorious life.

This poem is about my journey with one of my most favorite people in the whole world. Victora Stoltz passed away in December of a brain tumor. She was very greatful and accepting of the life she was given. Even in her hardest times she alway found a way to make someone smile, and always found the words thank you. Forever and always she will hold a special place in my heart.
