Music
My mind races
running on E
restless I may be
but my mind keeps going.
Knowing I can’t do anything
I plug my headphones
Into my phone.
Dimly glowing
It is showing me
My music.
I find relief in dubstep
bass heavy music
with a typical tempo
of 140 bpm
For a while
it seemed as if
music was my only friend.
I’d turn up my speakers
And the euphoria would begin
Never end, and once the song
Was over, I’d hit next
And it would begin again
Whatever my emotion
I could get lost in the bass
lets face it
music became my drug
and I loved to get wasted.
Music saved my life
and for that
I am forever grateful.
