Meaning Behind Music
I sit under the stars
and stare up to the sky.
I think about what secrets
our universe might hide.
I sit in my bed
and stare up at the ceiling.
Feeling battered and broken
but I know,
time does all healing.
I put on some music
and stare at the album’s art.
Driven from the heart,
each song is a spark
of creativity and passion
arranged in orderly fashion.
Each song becomes a lesson,
to teach you about a life you’ve never lived.
But most people never give it a chance.
Based off the first glance
most people call it junk,
they don’t give a funk about it.
They’ll doubt it and discredit it,
say it isn’t real music,
confuse it and say
“It takes no skill just to edit it.”
