My Ray of Sunshine
The brown of your big eyes,
Protected by your long beautiful eyelashes mesmerize me,
Drawing me in time and time again.
Your smile is my favorite,
So bright that it lights up the room.
Your laugh is as sweet as honey.
When you sing,
My heart flutters like a butterfly's wings.
I could listen to you sing all day.
I love your rough callused hands.
Running my fingers through your soft,
Golden hair.
Making it go the wrong way,
Or making it go straight forward and down,
Just to tease you.
Having to go on my tippy toes,
And still pull your head down so your lips,
Could touch my lips.
Your arms are shelter.
You are my home.
And always will be.
Forever and ever,
Amen.
