Your Eyes
When I first saw your eyes I saw twinkling stars
The twinkling stars gave me a feeling of hope and compassion
The endless days after I felt fondness and passion
When I looked in your glimmering sun
You sang me a stunning melody
A melody of fantasies and yearning
As time went by I felt the feelings overturning
As time went by your shining lights were burning
Burning with apathy, treachery
The endless time halted
Your eyes turned to a stormy, dark galaxy
Revealing who you were inside,
you were not my fantasy
You were my tragedy
The sparkle was gone,
it was a catastrophe
It was all blasphemy
You gave me a glance
Your eyes were not twinkling with love
They were glistening with power
Power over me
You engulfed me in your dark cloak of misery
Where familiarity took over me
Misery was my ambiance
Before you came
You gave me happiness
But here I stand in your dark cloak
Of anguish, of misery
Now I cry
Over how much I tried
To make you my magnificent illusion
My walking daydream
Now all I can say is,
Is this love?
No.
This is the bittersweet truth in your eyes.
