poetry to me
the pen is mightier than the sword
so i stabbed one in my chest
and let the words bleed out
my tongue is clumsy and heavy
when words matter most
my voice trembles and shakes
even at the thought of speaking
my throat refuses to function
although it screams for understanding
so i write with my blood,
i write with my life.
