Dragon Rider
Sneaking silently out of the streets of darkness
I am free on my dragon’s back.
I can’t believe I’m sitting next to a tree.
I am battling the battle and starting to saddle up to take revenge.
I am looking at a dragon hatchling which is looking at me
who looks resembles the green tinge of a snap pea.
We are flying overhead like a swan soaring through the air.
I tried not to fall off the dragon in mid-air
I see myself looking out into the great outdoors.
We snuck up on the bad guys ,
I turned to my dragon and put my finger to my lips for her to be quiet.
My dragon looked at me and her eyes showed fear and distain.
Silently staring at the night sky,
Silently searching for danger.
And silently crawling up on an enemy.
I loved my dragon dearly.
I loved how she battles.
I love the way the wind whistled through my hair.
To be a dragon rider, you must train like a rider.
If you don’t, you will lose.
My dragon lies next to me in a frosted fantasy world,
Silently Sleeping.
I sense something strange.
I wake to the smell of burning flesh.
The smell makes my mouth taste as if I had just taken a bite.
Suddenly, I hear the thrashing of falling wood.
I leap up and shook my dragon.
She looked at me,
Saw concern.
I was leaping, bounding, and scattering down the hill
To those in need.
