Mistakes
  I tumble down the staircase,
  thump, thump, thump,
  crash.
I roll down like a boulder tumbling down a hill
with nothing, no one to stop me.
I’m unable to use an eraser
to correct what I’ve done this time,
  no.
I have to sit smelling the flowers
  instead of actually doing something,
  helping someone.
I tumble down like a bee
with its wing trimmed in midair.
  Twisting down
  until I reach the terrain
with a thud on the spring grass
  new, trusting, a second chance.
