Fire.

an eternal flame deep inside
it keeps the connection alive
you, a lion
I, an archer
our roots intertwined
our hearts aligned
there is fire in our souls
this fire, never dull
shall we burn everything we touch?
leaving a blackened world of sorrow and ash
or shall we become the light?
the light that starts a revolution
our fire is like the stars
the most beautiful constellation
our heads are in the sky
dreams, so high
this fire will take us far
for that I have no hesitation

I based this piece on the element of fire, which is the element for Saggitarius and Leo, the astrology signs of my boyfriend and I. This piece was written for him. This poem develops the idea of us growing together, and I tried to do that with the flow of my stanzas. I hope you all enjoy!
