Spiders and Webs
The way the words flow off your tongue
Like you've practiced them a thousand times
You say I'm the first to hear those words
But I know that you don't mean any of it
I heard you say them to Her last week on the phone
When you tried to occupy me with things to do
How many times have you told that lie?
Youre spinning a web of lies, much like a spider
You try your hardest to catch all the helpless little flies
In your tangled web of lies
You spin your web so fast that you sometimes get yourself tangled
The flies that you've caught are now suddenly the spiders
And you, the helpless lying fly
