The Symphony

There is a bird up in that tree, singing sweetly down at me. A melody so soft and peaceful, carried by the summer breeze. And as I lay awake in bed, I can hear a symphony inside my head, pulling me into my dreams of that lovely summer melody.

When I'm at a lake in my town there are birds that just sound so beautiful. I chose to write about that and I wanted to make it sound sort of dreamy and peaceful. Also this is my first poem I'm writing to submit into teen ink so I thought it would be very simple and good for a start.
