Kiss of Scars

A kiss of scars leaving marks when we fell apart.
All the pain flooded in with that last touch.
Our memories fading away, our love is still there.
Why can’t I find it?
It’s hanging there on a thin strand.
These tears coming down my face feel like poison.
My teeth felt like razors cutting my mouth with every plead for you to stay.
