"I love you"
You said I love you
And I thought how lucky am I to find someone in this lifetime Someone to love me
That word held every dream I ever had
Encompassed every fairy tale of my little girl storybook
All the comfort and warmth I had desired
I was cold to the touch
But I wrapped that word around me like the blanket
I had been looking for my whole life
I built up that word like a skyscraper
And for a Moment I believed it
And In that moment the clouds uncovered the Sun
The blue birds sang
And the roses awakened
It was the perfect moment
But then came the rain
And times changed and that word burned out with like my favorite candle
All meaning was lost
and I thought about all we used to be
And if you ever really love me

As a young girl to hear the words "I love you" mean so much and you just assume it's love and it'll last forever. Well that's not always true and relationships do end and it leaves you questioning the love that was in that relationship and if that was just another lie
