I look up and it's white.

Not pearls of remarkable price,

Nor flowers of sweeten petals,

A white as pure can be,

Emotionless, lifeless, empty interpretation.

A veil over a view

Of almighty grace;

A sea glass on a beach

of a ghostly life.

-But white, a wedding gown is,

Of joy and baptized brides

The white, to dress of use can be.

Look up,

To all the white...

No! Owl eyes failed me.

A slimy blackness,

from outer space,

Rained.

The sky

Always grey, was never,

White.

The author's comments:

Black and white are not colors. They have no life; but one reppresents the evil in the world while the other is good on earth. But truth be told, there is no white without a shadow and there is no black without a light. Like life, the sky is never one color. It changes. Even when it looks completely white, from a rainy day, the sky is never white but it's a rainbow, a rainbow of shades of grey, with different perspectives and different attitudes.
