The Honeymoon Phase
The face beneath the scenery
Blinded by mystery and serenity
Without whither or worry
No, not even a query
Constantly fantasizing
The day we met
The good and the bad
Without question or regret
It finally occurred to me,
How flawless it was
Even I could not imagine this
The sweet taste of her lips
Slowly intertwined
the look in her eyes
that made me hope she was only mine
This honeymoon phase
Feelings eventually concluding
All the stories and memories shared
Are now gently resoluting
