Flames
When it starts it’s so small,
That it’s barely there.
Just a speck of red dust,
We are all unaware.
Then the heat starts to rise,
Off the ground to the wall.
Fire engulfs the doorway,
And the front entry hall.
It goes to the living room,
And burn! It is drowned.
The warmth keeps on moving,
So stealthy, no sound.
Next is the kitchen,
Plates, and silverware explode.
Cracked into pieces,
The house is bestrode.
To the dining room, up the stairs,
The fire dominates all.
Everything is burned to crisp,
Everything big and small.
Soon enough the house is a blaze,
Filled with yellow, red and white.
Like a firework lighting up the sky,
Why hasn’t this been an interesting night?
