Night Time Is The Right Time
1 am on the freeway and the wild wind whips my hair back,
All my worries fly off me with the breeze and the sky is a pure black.
The road seems to stretch on thousands of miles,
A paper in one of the world’s many files.
I close my eyes and i see the stars shine,
Almost like a tiny shrine in my mind.
When you are on the road you are anonymous,
You don’t think you’ll be missed.
A slight feeling of glee passes through you when you are nowhere precise,
You can just take your chance and roll the dice.
Music blasts and makes my body numb,
It’s almost like a never ending hum.
The warmth from the heater seeps into my bones after a long and cold night,
The shell of my heart goes from dark to light.
Soul blares from this old radio,
Stirring up the feelings in my chest and leaving me with a forgotten glow.
