This world is filled with hatred and pain,
I do not know why we cannot rise above hate.
The words we use to describe someone,
Cannot compare to what they can do.

I speak about a serious complication in life,
Growing greater by day,
Like flowers growing                                                       Such beauty they have, but these days…
Even plants sigh because they can’t hold the venom and the pain they witness.

There are spurious smiles on faces I see,
But behind those smiles there is a fear,

of what others think or what they say.

There are people in this world

They’re hearts are so small yet filled with so much acrimony,
So they have no space for love and harmony.

I speak to the committers of this sin!

What has the victim ever done?
They look for friends, instead they find foes                           worse than the ones found in war.

What do you get by doing it?

I’ve never understood the point of it!
You say ferocious comments behind their back,
You hunt like furious wolves in a pack

They feel no pain when you punch or hit
Make them bloody or break a bone or limb                             It’s not the physical actions that hurt,
It’s the disgustful words that you use,
They hurt a thousand times worse than a bullet firing from a gun!

You have no idea how much pain you can cause
They suffer and cry to let it all out!
Your intentions make them doubtful about themselves
Wondering if they should spend another day in this life,
Day and night, thinking of ways to end their life,
Because you leave no reason for them to live this life.

You think they’re weak and alone,
You should realise that they’re stronger than you
Look at all the pain they’ve been through,
But they have no one to turn to!

You leave nowhere for them to go,
They end up stuck like a prisoner in jail
They’re unable to show themselves in society,
or on any social media community.
There is one thing I don’t understand,
If you don’t have the courage to say it to them
face to face,
Then why say it behind a computer screen?

If you don’t have anything good to say,
Then there is no need to express anything to the prey.
Because you don’t know how it feels to be,
in the position of feeling uncertainty.
You can send victims into depression,
and push them till the limit for suicidal precession!

I question; why commit this sin?
It gives you no fame its just full of shame,
and you have to suffer the blame,
I question; would you want to feel the same?

Every time you see a victim being squared,
Be the individual who steps out of the crowd!
Be the person who they can turn to!
Be the person who can change their lives!

Life is beautiful when you have no sorrow or pain,
Everyone is unique in their own ways
The world is diverse, so show your true colours,
I am the voice of those who have suffered!

Words can hurt so think before anything you say.
Would you want to suffer the blame for someone not living another day?

The author's comments:

Recently, bullying is also becoming the end to the life of some victims who get targeted. On many websites, cases have mentioned suicide and depression because of victims getting bullied. It is the number one reason which leads to suicidal attempts. I was inspired to write about bullying because it would have a greater impact on the age group that will end up reading this poem.
