Lonely and her Rose
April 1, 2016
I keep your rose beside my bed
In case I wish that I were dead
And if I do, its good to know
That even just a rose
Can show me I'm not alone.

A very important person in my life gave me a wooden rose when I was close to just giving up on everything. The person I wrote this for is still in my life today and this rose means more to me than just reminding me of that time. It shows me, as the poem says, that I am not alone.
