Thank You Mr. Disney
His mind was like a child’s,
His life was extraordinary,
He went from rags to riches
All thanks to his friend
Who was a mouse.
Walt Disney was creative,
Walt Disney was a visionary,
Walt Disney never gave up
Even when things were rough.
Problems always came
When trying to get his start.
“Disney’s Folly”
Almost took his heart.
But when that creation
Spread throughout the world
Every living, breathing creature
Would sing “Heigh Ho! Heigh Ho!”
Walt’s vision continued to grow
It flew, and danced, and sang into our hearts
And his vision lives on
Even though he is gone.
So thank you Walt Disney
For giving us your craft
And giving us memories
That will always last.

I am a huge Disney fan. As I was growing up, I watched all of the movies and fell in love with the music. I wrote this poem to show my appreciation to the man responsible for my childhood.
