Face sorrow on the corner where shadow meets light

Afternoon at sunset, buildings blocking the sun

compose a premature night

Reflect on life;

A bag full of adversities

Every day is a gift if only for gag

It gets rubbed in the face of man,

blood of many others stained upon the palms of many hands

Convicted I am, you are, you, you, you, and them

We are only human consumin, losin, a once bloomin land

that now is only boomin

of population and bombs droppin I slowly raise my voice

But i am never heard

The repulsive hiss of a serpent projected

now louder than ever

Dark minds scheming against us in hatred

pull the trigger

Softly with a whisper I shout out,

with no Sound, a warning

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is around

does it even make a difference

what i think of my fellow

man with a plan

A house divided can not stand

I try to speak up and inform you, lend a hand

But I am never heard

I reserve moments for the future, dont come crying back to me

When I crash through as a storm, warm winds which

Decided not to warn

Only then will you begin to see

That the loudest plea comes with consequences

Then gamble now I do with confidence

You can hear me

The author's comments:

The winds wich softly warn represent mankind which constantly ignores to heed its own caution at the cost of peril in exchange for pleasure. Destroying the morals and foundation that once made Earth a great place is accepted as progress and accomplishment, frowned upon only by those who choose to slow down and listen.
