Books
I never understood
People who found reading boring
Reading is an escape
A rip in reality
And if you find your own tear
The turnout is monumental
I love books
New or old
Big or small
My own tears
When I jump through a tear
I can be anywhere with anyone
Beside princes fighting wars
Riding dragons with a mission to save the nation
Or staying with a magical family
I feel the hurt
And love
And happiness
I celebrate with these people of paper and ink
I love the feel of the paper
The smell of the ink
And the way these beautiful stories make me think
My heart breaks when I finish
And I feel a little lost
My own tear in reality
Is gone
When I open the book there's nothing new
Just the same as yesterday
But that's okay
I'd join their adventure anyday
Weither I've lived it a thousand times
Old or new
And if you ask me 'Why?'
Well,
Wouldn't you?
