Darkness
The darkness surrounds me
The blackness engulfs me
It speaks to me in a soft whisper
For I am not free
I am embodied in the depths of sorrow
To be free I must escape the shadows
Longing narrow paths leading only downward
Paths that lead to nowhere but depression and sadness
In order to conquer the tower of sorrow and pain
You must gain faith and love in yourself
Once you’ve achieved the two things
You begin to ascend instead of descending
You begin to bloom and flourish
You reach new heights
Darkness becomes brightness
Shadows becomes clouds that float gently
I am no longer embodied
Blackness nor Darkness bounds not I
I am free
I no longer hear the longing and echoing of the whispers
I escaped to be me
