Chained
I’m chained to the darkness
I’m sitting next to my sister crying
Were covered in fear, holding hands
As best as we can reach
The chains limit our reach
He then comes and takes my chain off
I scream and try to run back to her
But he grabs me and pulls
Me toward the door
I look at you and there’s no
Tears in your eye
But there is fear in your eyes
I’m shoved through the door
You lead me down the hallways
And push me into a room full of light
I wince; I’ve been in the dark my whole life
I scream and no one comes for me
