America, Land of the Free, Home of the Brave.
They call this place home
But constantly complain,
Man it gets so lame.

All I hear is
Give me this
Give me that
I want this
I want that
I need this and
I need that.

We call this a free country,
But everyone I see is a slave to other people.
Americans say they need money to live,
Since when did a paper dollar
With someone’s face on it , define life?

I need money, but do I really need money?
Money only has the power that you give it.
Why is the value in the paper?
What happened to the dream of
Freedom?

The days and months in the harsh weather
When blood was spilled in the battlefield.
The battles of coats versus rebels.
Muskets firing “Bang, Bang”
On the frontline,
The general,
The father of his country,
Led men to freedom
What happened to those dreams?

Now people are slaves again.
Do you see the freedom?
I see none,
I see terror and fear in the eyes of
Newborns and elders.
No one is safe
All are victims of some
Terror or fear.
We walk around
With smiles on our face
When really we are dying slowly
Like a slow slumber
It slowly takes over the body.
You can’t see it or hear it
It comes and takes over
Like the enemy in the night

Since when have you
Been happy?
Truly happy?
What has this country become
The land of the free and home of the brave?
We don’t seem so brave,
Instead we are slaves chained to the ground.
We are dogs that bark, but don’t always bite,
It’s time, to take a stand,
To fight back, to gain what our Ancestors fought for
Coming to this land called America
Welcome to America.
