The Monsters Under Your Bed
Your parents come in to say good night,
And on their way out they turn out your light.
Now with your covers you cover your head,
For there are monsters under your bed!
Blankets are pulled, pillows are nabbed,
And sometimes even your toes are grabbed.
Afraid to leave your bed for any reason;
If you leave, they'll grab you and commit treason.
You've tried to get rid of them in every possible way,
But none have worked up to this day.
From treats to threats, from pleas to screams,
No matter what is tried, they remain in your dreams.
Finally figured that monsters are kept out at night,
Simply by using a little bit of light.
You feel so triumphant that you have to say,
"Be gone monsters! For you're not wanted night or day."
