Hello Stranger
See the big picture,
Observe those inside the frame
Get to know them.
How do you know someone
without knowing them?
The old man next door,
His face worn with time,
Like a tattered book that lines my shelf.
Why could I not of written myself into his story.
The little red headed girl,
Sparkling blue eyes,
That little silver locket dangling loosely from her neck.
Never have I wondered so greatly
as to what was in that locket.
I have never made an effort
To read his book,
Or Peer into her eyes.
Outside their picture,
I shall find an entrance,
No more seeing the big picture,
It’s time to enter the frame.
I can start it all
With one simple,
Hello.
