Poor Mr. Friola
I have been hurt,
Crushed by the ones I thought loved me.
They used me, I thought it would be forever,
But I was crushed beneath their feet.
They said they loved me, but I was just another drink.
They replaced me so fast, you didnt even have to blink.
We used to go everywhere together, we were unseperable.
But once I had had nothing left,
They threw me out.
Now they are in loving memory of, Mr. Friola,
They bought me, used me, threw me out
And replaced me with Coca-Cola

When I was writng this piece, my class and I were talking about figurative language and action verbs. We had to make a personification about a soda can once it is thrown away. Mr. Friola is the name of the soda. I combined Dr. Pepper, Fanta, Sprite, and Coca-Cola into one.
