Breathe in slow, ignore the whispers in the dark.

The shadow creeping across the moon, doesn't mean impending doom.
Luminous goons whom loom in the shadows of your room.
Close your eyes and they'll be gone soon.

Breathe in slow, ignore the whispers in the dark.

As your heart races at paces the speed of drag races and faces pass your eyes.
You clench tight and you brace for pain.
But again instead of pain you gain the fame for staying the night and playing the game.
Life and death, dark is an illusion.
Confusion from the fluid movement trying to prove that, the mosters are real, not just in your dreams.
The monsters are real, they're just not as they seem.

Breathe in slow, inhale the whispers in the dark.

The rising sun enters the crystal window.
The sounds of birds chirping as the wind blows.
As the sun rises but very slow.
  Trees sway to and fro.
You awake from slumber and blunder into the wonder the fact that all monsters are scared of eachother.
Some monsters kill, some monsters eat.
Some monsters build, some monsters are weak.
Some monsters feel and some monsters speak.
Learn what you can from the beasts you defeat.
Because the monsters you seek are the people you'll meet.

Breathe in slow, ignore the whispers in the dark.

Listening to one of my inspirations as a musical artist, Voltaire, has led me to create a dark yet comforting gothic kind of poem. Everybody has nightmares, but nothing is scarier than mankind.
