When It All Falls

The great tree of life,

Holds everything within its branches.

Day to day,

Leaves fall to the ground.

Each one gives,

From whence it came.

Day to day,

A branch falls off.

Broken by the wind and rain

And will no longer make a sound.

Day to day,

An acorn falls,

With nothing to nurture it.

Soon will die within the earth,

That it hoped to thrive.

Each leaf and branch,

Let no water through.

Keeping it for itself,

From those who need it too.

Though the acorn was lucky,

It never had to see.

Day to day,

The axe man cuts down trees.

The acorn did not know,

He would not fall to his knees.

One day he with come,

Axe swinging with great power.

Breaking the tree,

And watching it fall.

But before it falls,

Acorns will too,

No longer deprived of thirst,

And a new tree will come to.

The axe man will nurture the acorns,

Watch the new tree form,

Until one day,

It is that trees turn.

This was inspired by how many people do things for themselves and eventually the world will become corrupt and cave in on itself. It is inevitable that it will all fall if we stay this course.
