I had a dream. A dream that would be great if it were to come true.
Once that would make any person silent in awe.
The dream was of serenity.

Wouldn’t it be great, if we the humans ruled the earth?
If we got along. If we sang the same song.
This song is of peace. Not of hate, or abuse.
We did not develop weapons to harm,
But to heal, and to build.

Wouldn’t it be great, if we the humans ruled the earth?
But we ruled with kindness. If we out-niced each other.
The children dance, the adults sing, and the world would rest.
There is no trash, no politics, no crimes committed.

Wouldn’t it be great, if we the humans ruled the earth?
We were civil. There were no disputes.
Not a child cried “This is mine”
And not a soul cried out the word “stupid”

Wouldn’t it be great, if nature played its part?
All were kind, and life was sweet, but there was still disaster.
Tornados and hurricanes,
Droughts and locust storms
All still were there.
But we the humans stood as one,
And survived the terrible times

But that was all a dream. None of that shall come to pass. Not with rumers spreading, and discrimination. No, the world is far from this near perfect reality. And that is why they are called: dreams.
