Hungry
I’m hungry for a way out,
of misery and discomfort.
A growl from deep inside,
starving just for beauty.
I’m hungry for an answer,
why do I feel this way, still.
That skipping and refraining,
no thank you is all I have to say.
I’m hungry for solutions,
to this endless game.
Of brittle bones and weakened hair,
falling where I stand.
I’m hungry for the future,
where my forced guilt no longer lies.
When numbers mean nothing,
because I’ll be a smaller size.
