Someone becomes no one.
There will be times when someone you know becomes someone you knew.
It may hurt, it might not.
It may have been long coming, it might have surprised you.
The emptiness you feel may be filled by another being, or it might be an irreplaceable void in your now dark soul.
You may replace the void with something, not someone.
You might turn to food, music, art, or sleeping, sleeping forever.
When someone pushes their fingernails into your beating heart, and pulls it out with one swift movement, your whole world could change.
Or you could care less.
You could care so much it aches in your chest, you could feel it in your ribs, you could feel it in your back, you could feel it in your lungs and in your soul.
But you might also not notice.
You may think to yourself that it’s been a long time coming, you might be surprised it didn’t happen sooner.
The arguing would turn into sobbing, into late night discussions, to the scars on your arms, and by now you’ve given up on them like they’ve given up on you.
You no longer let their disrespect control your well being.
You have people who love you.
People who aren’t them.

I just threw this together, not even a second look at it.
