Stay Young
Stay young they told me
Grow up they said
Be happy they requested
But life is so sad
Do as they say, but not what they do
Yet they awe when I say I want to be just like you
Don’t talk back, don’t react, don’t stare, don’t move
Get out there they sang; we won't disprove
They say don’t be afraid to be yourself, but myself never gets me more then their unfolding of scolding so I keep withholding, but my feelings are molding and I'm going to burst
They say they will always be there, but when you need them most
they leave you to roast
Alone to say to least
My fighting to win is ceased
Remember me as the one tried
And you as the one who always lied
