She believed but
he lied
“I love you” were just words to him
but she believed in them:
I’m worth it
I’m loved
He wants this
run through her mind but she is
just as gullible as the rest.
a week after the I love you
it meant nothing to him.
but it was everything to her.
Crushing the once happy
girl but
now it’s gone.
everything she thought was right
isn’t anymore
“Let’s still be friends” he says
and she agrees,
not knowing it will only
kill her more.
