These shots I hear like poetic justice
The innocent babies being shot down
Young mothers on Welfare trying to make it through the struggle
Father’s leaving these children so the mother can take position of the coward who wasn’t there
No hope for the youth
No future for the young  kids
Important lives lost
Martin luther king, trayvon martin and latasha harlins
This world thinks they help us
but they stress us
Be a leader because everyone is following the same trend
People sell they souls short to make that next dollar
People losing their true roots
Feeling like the great depression again
This world thinks it helps us
But It brings us back down
They wonder why we choose these bad lifestyles
Young girls getting pregnant
trying to succeed
People living through bottles
Economy trying to go with the popular
What is popular?
Never got what it meant
We are living in a set up
Media feeding us crap
Got us believing it’s real
Mamas trying to make ends meet
Poor trying find the next meal
No one  giving back to their  community
Our brothers in jail
A vision misunderstood
I sit back and ask Myself
Is it hope for the future?
This is hell we going through
Keep your head held high
through these hard times
God wanted us to be one
I know this because he has the world in his hands
But  day by day we are not following god’s rule
Because the world breaking day by day
where sooner he won’t have the ability to hold us any longer
If we keep doing the things we do
This heartless crap we call america
